Constant Voltage Transformer (CVT) stabilises mains voltage with isolation.
Constant voltage Transformer is used for voltage regulation. In CVT, capacitor is connected at the secondary winding of transformer. This capacitor increases current in the secondary winding, which helps in the saturation of the secondary flux. Since the secondary AC flux is restricted to a saturated value, for a large range of the input voltage (170-270V), So constant voltage is available across secondary winding of the transformer.
Applications of CVT is for Data Processing Unit, Computers, Bio Medical Equipments, Telecommunication Equipments, High Sensitive Equipments.
Constant Voltage Transformer is available in 100VA to 10KVA (Single Phase)
